Profitable No Limit Hold’em is a 14 hour poker course designed to make you a profitable poker player. Our course material, curriculum, and teaching methods were all meticulously created by a New York college professor and professional poker player. The course will allow you to internalize the mathematical, strategic, and psychological aspects of poker. The class will help you develop a decision making process at the table. Most importantly, it will teach you everything you need to be a profitable player. The course is 14 hours long and takes place during one weekend, 11am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, with a cash game from 6pm-8pm on Sunday as well. The class takes place at our office in New York City.

Our goal is to turn you into a profitable poker player. Everyone learns at different speeds and sometimes people need want to stop in for a refresher course before you take a trip to vegas. Pay for the course once, and take it as many times as you like for free.


We have spent an incredible amount of time creating a course booklet that contains everything we spoke about in class. We will also provide you with cheat sheets and recommend some great applications to improve your game.


We keep our class size small, you will have no more then 10 people in your class. This allows us to give everyone personal attention so we can make sure you understand the material. It also creates a more personal environment so you get to know us and we get to know you.


Want to make sure you played a hand correctly? Not sure if your play was bad or you just got unlucky? We encourage players to send us hands so we can take a look and help them to continue to improve.


All our course material was designed by a professional poker player and a college professor. We will utilize several different methods of teaching in order to insure we engage your preferred learning style. Your course is designed to be informative, effective, and fun.


We have created a strong poker community in New York. After your class you will be invited to several New York Poker events, lectures, and games. We also host non poker related activities as well.


We are located in a 1,000 square foot loft with casino grade tables, chips, and cards. We also have a 120 inch projector screen used for online play. We have made our space as comfortable as possible to maximize your learning experience.


Blake, the owner of the school is a world class body language expert. He will carefully watch you while play and make recommendations designed to minimize the information you are giving away at the table.

Detailed Course Explanation and Class Schedule

  • Live Group Play and Online Play

    Live and online play help form a strong foundation for learning. We spend a significant amount of time at the table carefully reviewing students plays and helping them fine tune their thought process. We also play online on our 120 inch projector screen while we explain our thought process and methodology.

  • The Three Core Concepts: Extract Maximum Value, Positional Awareness, Relative Hand Strength

    This module discusses the three concepts that form the foundation of our profitable no limit hold em class. The course will show you how to extract maximum value from your opponents, play in position, and understand that your hand strength is based not on the actual value of your cards, but the value compared to another players potential range.

  • Back to Basics: The Fundamental Mathematical Principles of No Limit Hold Em

    During our Back to Basics module, you will be exposed to the various mathematical components of No Limit Hold Em. We will cover, pot odds, implied odds, reverse implied odds, calculating outs, expected value, and some more complicated EV situations. The principles learned in this module will be reinforced throughout the course and frequently during live and online play.

  • Positional Awareness: A Crucial Element

    One the most important and overlooked elements in poker is position. Players are often aware of position but fail to truly understand its importance. We will show you how playing the majority of your hands in position is profitable, and we will teach you what to do when your out of position.

  • Why do we... Check, Raise, Fold, Call?

    Many players are often will to perform an action at the poker table without really thinking why? We will examine all the reasons for Checking, Raising, Folding and Calling. At the end of this module you should have a good understanding of why you are performing a certain action at the table and should have the ability to intelligently explain your justify your particular line or course of action.

  • What is Equity: An in Depth Analysis of Pot and Fold Equity

    Many players fail to realize just exactly how much equity a specific play has. We will take a very detailed few of how the concept of equity is crucial to fundamental play. You will learn how to utilize certain equity calculators, to review your play and truly understand the concept of equity.

  • The Thinking Player: How to Thing at a Poker Table

    If your not thinking, your gambling. It’s on the wall of our school, and a very easy thing to ask yourself while your playing. We will highlight the differences between a thinking and non-thinking opponent. More specifically you will learn how to use flow charts to help you develop a more logical and thorough thought process at the poker table.

  • The Art of Bluffing

    You can be profitable without ever bluffing. Bluffing is actually a practice that we discourage at the lower stakes, however, it is a crucial part of the game and can substantially increase your hourly rate if done properly. You will learn what spots are the best to bluff through actual live play and re-play of hand histories.

  • Two Entirely Different Games: The Difference Between Cash and Tournaments

    Tournaments and Cash games are two different kinds of games. We will discuss why they are different and how their differences effect your strategy and play.

  • Souls in our Pocket: The Body Language Seminar

    While you can be profitable without ever even looking at your opponent, having the ability to read your opponet can be an incredible advantage. The body language seminar is always taught by Blake, the founder and head instructor at the school. He has conducted over 5 years of research on non-verbal communication and how it relates to dating and poker. Many players find that this seminar alone is worth the value of the entire class.
