Blake - Like many people my age, I caught the poker bug after watching the movie Rounders. I was really tired of making 15 an hour while I was in college and thought I would give poker a try. I have a very obsessive personality so I basically ate, breathed, and dreamed poker. I purchased every book, read every forum, and played non-stop. While my game was better then most it took a total of 2 years before I started to consistently make money playing poker. I feel I waisted a lot of time making the same mistakes and was sure that I could help others make the process significantly quicker. By the time I finished grad school I was playing poker full time, making great money, and having the time of my life. I owe a lot of my financial success to the game of poker and truly enjoy teaching the game and helping others reach their potential. In addition to playing poker I am an Adjunct Psychology Professor at the City University of New York, entrepreneur, and investor in several Internet start ups.
Jess - I was first introduced to poker by an ex-boyfriend. We dated in college and his obsession with the game rubbed off on me. I was always a strong player but never thought about playing professionally. After I lost my job a friend of mine got me a job as a dealer at a private game. I dealt for several weeks and one day when they were short I played and dealt. I was a slight winner, but Blake who was sitting at the table at the time spoke to me afterwords and took me under his wing. He staked me, helped me with the leaks in my game and after 6 months I was making a living playing poker full time. I am in love with the game and take it very seriously. You can find me regularly playing the highest limits at Atlantic city and Foxwoods.
Spade - I fell in love with poker when someone at work introduced me to the game. I was a currency trader and one of my co-workers was playing poker online for second income. Intrigued by the fact that I could make money without leaving my house, I started to dedicate a significant amount of time to learning how to play. After awhile the money I was making playing poker was enough to quit my job. In the summer of 2006 I left my job and became a full time professional poker player.
G - As a lover of the game, I enjoy reading and following all forms of poker media. The analytical skills I use on my day job as an investment strategist had an immediate impact on my success as a poker player. On top of my regular working hours on wallstreet, I dedicate at least 30 hours a week to cash and tournament play. You can find me on the felt following the tournament circuit and playing cash games in AC, LV and LA on a regular basis. I consider myself a cash game specialist.
