PROFITABLE NO LIMIT HOLD EM

Took the Profitable No Limit Hold Em class. This class is great. The instructor is friendly and knowledgeable and each class was enjoyable in itself with lots of playing. Everything taught had solid reasoning behind it and were always accompanied by general guidelines to help if you can't do all the math quick enough in the middle of a hand. I was welcomed back to free refresher classes and the instructor is very open to hand analysis discussions over email after the class is done. I went from slowly losing my money at low stakes on both online poker and live games to winning consistently after. In less than two months after taking the class, I have paid for it twice over in winnings. Obviously worth it!

PROFITABLE NO LIMIT HOLD EM

“I learned more in 3 days with the Profitable NLH class which truly helped improve my mediocre game than playing poker for about 7 years by myself. The $500 price may be steep but it is very well worth every penny especially for the fact you can take a refresher course as many times as you want. Blake is very engaging, extremely patient and a great teacher who is able to simplify the game for all to understand

INTRODUCTION TO POKER

You have to do this, I have been playing poker with a bunch of guys every now and then just for fun-but they just wont give out their techniques or bluff skills. Being the only chick at the table I hate having to try twice as hard to catch up to people who have the real time vegas experience. Believe it or not-house of cards is like sitting at a table full of professionals who are giving out advice for free ( they might as well just toss you a bunch of their chips without even requiring you to show your hand). NOW I know what's going on in their heads-and it wasn't because they told me. Nope - school of cards did. The instructor is a pretty cool laid back guy who seems like poker comes as easy to him as breathing, and the dealer makes the experience as vegas like as possible without all the showgirls. This was a lot of fun. The only thing missing was fun background music and food.

INTRODUCTION TO POKER

Took the beginners class at School of Cards. Was a lot of fun and I definitely learned some stuff. I knew the basics of Texas Holdem. I play for fun on Zynga and on my ipod. But I had never played in a live game and it was a great introduction. Don't think I'm ready for a casino but now I won't feel like a complete fool if I do decide to try it out. Also, (when I follow what I learned) I win a lot more than I used to. It's a great class to learn the basics. Would love to take the next level class. Thanks Blake.

PRIVATE LESSON

I am an on-line cash game player. After contacting the Blake at the school of cards and having a few private lessons, I was able to make the transition from low to mid stakes. Blake was very knowledgeable; he helped me tighten up leaks in my games. He also pointed me to on-line tools for profiling players and picking the right games to play in. We still complicate via email to discuss hand analysis. I highly recommend Blake's School of Cards.

INTRODUCTION TO POKER

I didn't know what to expect but it was a fun nite and interesting. Blake is a terrific teacher and I look forward to learning lots more. If you have ANY interest in the game, this is THE place to learn more about it! Call me up for a game!

INTRODUCTION TO POKER

This was ridiculously fun. The instructor teaches in a way that is logical so you grasp how to play before you leave. He is a character with a pretty interesting and diverse background which makes for great stories and in the know tips on everything from poker etiquette to improving your game over time. The space is nice and comfortable. Bonus, all you can drink mini bar. We had a small group, about 8, which I recommend for the first go around. Eventually I want to play in a tournament. I signed up using a coupon from Living Social BUT I would have paid full price for the class. It's kind of like an entry fee into a club. The school keeps in touch ans offers fresher courses and hosts game nights. Blake, the instructor, is super personable and interested in making sure everyone comes away learning the game.
